We are currently seeking a full-time Beer manager.
We are looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for the industry (hospitality, retail, alcohol), and desire to bring this passion to life for our customers and coworkers. Job Description:
As the Beer Manager you will be responsible to oversee daily duties of the stores normal operations. You will be held to a higher standard to act as a role model to help train and teach team members. In addition to normal daily duties your role as the beer manager will focus on all beer aspects of the store. This includes but is not limited to:
Domestic beer / Import beer / Craft beer
Seltzers / Malt beverages / Ciders
Ready to drink beverages
Non Alcoholic beers
Duties of the Beer Specialist
-Manage inventory levels in the beer category. Make weekly beer orders and work with beer representatives when producing order fulfillment.
-Maintain beer inventory, accuracy and rotation.
-Input beer invoices into inventory along with managing beer cost and retails.
-Responsible for making sure beer is always fully stocked. This includes the beer cooler shelves, beer cooler back stock, warm craft beer shelves, warm craft beer singles and cold craft beer singles.
-Train and manage team members on beer stocking, rotation, styles and existing/new products.
-Work on merchandising beer items and case displays in the beer section with the change in products, season and/or holidays.
-Build relationships with beer vendors and their representatives.
-Work with the owner and general manager on setting up tastings in the store with vendors.
-Maintain and update beer selection on website source and create content.
-Monitor and make posts on social platforms.
-Create content with owner and general manager for email blasts.
We are hopeful that this position will mainly be Monday - Friday daytime hours, as they are the hours you would meet with Sales Representatives and accept deliveries.
We are open seven days a week, year-round. Interested applicants must have scheduling flexibility as daytime, evening, weekend and holiday shifts may be needed.
Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- Knowledge of craft beer
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Exceptional customer service skills and energetic upbeat attitude
- Ability to work Days/Nights/Weekends and Holidays as scheduled
- Ability to lift 50lbs, repeatedly carrying cases of beer, wine, and liquor
- Must be at least 21 years old
